Description

Girl in Rotaract is a heartfelt and witty memoir by DRR Rtn. Rtr. Geetika, chronicling her dynamic journey through the world of Rotaract—a global movement dedicated to youth leadership, civic engagement, and community service.

An economist and development professional with extensive experience in government consulting and public policy, Geetika brings her signature mix of humor, candor, and authenticity to the page. From the first hesitant “yes” to Rotaract to becoming the District Rotaract Representative for Rotary International District 3011, her story is a testament to resilience, adaptability, and the power of saying yes to new challenges.

In this book, you’ll find the raw realities behind the polished smiles of community events—the late-night calls, the endless meetings, the petty squabbles over seating arrangements, and the unexpected friendships that make it all worthwhile. It’s a rollercoaster of passion, burnout, laughter, and personal growth, perfectly capturing the “forever situationship” that is Rotaract.

Whether you’re a Rotaractor, an aspiring leader, or simply looking for an inspiring yet relatable life story, Girl in Rotaract offers a refreshing look at how youth-led service can shape personal and professional identity. This debut work is equal parts memoir, leadership guide, and love letter to the madness of community service.
